Linus

Not the one with the blanket.  Linus Pauling (1901-1994) was a chemist, biochemist, chemical engineer, winner of 2 Nobel prizes, founder of the orthomolecular medical group, and much more.  He discovered the power of vitamin C and took a lot more of it for himself daily than the medical mainstream could ever begin to accept.

I first learned about it being used to help to rid our bodies toxic metals in a DAMS (Dental Amalgam Mercury Solutions) newsletter (entry 1/23/21).  Detoxing folks may get Vitamin C in IVs for example, although no one ever offered me any😗 in this “burg”.

His popular books, Vitamin C, the Common Cold, and the Flu (1976) and How to Live Longer  and Stay Well (1987) written when  he was 85, continue to be read.

Although no one seems to be talking about nutrition to boost the immune system, holistically oriented patients are increasing their dose at this time.

On my rooftop

I feel like I would like to put a billboard – size warning sign up on my roof to warn about the negative health effects of electromagnetic gadgetry.  Some of them are necessary.  But we all need to learn to protect ourselves.  There is an educational online summit about it from July 12 to 18.  It appears to be free.

Oral

Practical

A few practical health books for now and the future:

Prescription for Nutritional Healing (5th Ed)  Phyllis Balch, CNC The earlier edition containing the same subjects had a second author with an MD.  Bought this years ago in my neighborhood where they also had a pharmacy.  Good beginning reference.  Different versions being sold, get the complete one of over 300 pages.

Whole Body Dentistry (2011) Mark Breiner, DDS. This dentist and author fought for 2 years in the state of Connecticut court system to practice mercury-free & mercury safe dentistry.  The book covers many dental issues so you can read along to help you make decisions with your dentist or choose another dentist.  You can familiarize yourself with dental issues at toxicteeth.org. There is a petition there to ban mercury “silver fillings”/“amalgam”.  Members of Dental Amalgam Mercury Solutions distributed this text to peninsula libraries years ago.

Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom (2020) Christiane Northrup, MD “What can go right with your body” bestseller has over a thousand pages.  An obstetrician gynecologist she began early on talking to her patients about nutrition as her father, a dentist, had done.  She opened up her mind and heart to their destructive emotional experiences.  She also speaks as a daughter and mother in the text.

The Wisdom of Menopause (2021) Christiansen Northrup, MD. The revised 4th edition is now available.

The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs (2017) Nicholas Pineault.  The 21st century technology is exploding and eroding our health.  You don’t need to be an engineer or scientist to follow along here to reduce your daily exposure.  It’s organized as a reference tool.  Begin with the bedroom.  The Environmental Health Trust has great posters showing where the hazards are. You can print them off and share with others.  (The Federal Communications Commission has not looked at the electronics we are surrounded by since 1996.)

Grateful

As we at Innovative Pain Release come to celebrate our first anniversary in Dr Kowal’s building, its ozone generator protects us and or clients from harmful microorganisms – mold, viruses, and bacteria.  We feel grateful.  And looking out windows to see the various birds is another plus.

Without

So many people getting PhDs nowadays.  Here’s a few who don’t have them, but who are learning and teaching practical behaviors to have quality of life in our ever-increasing electronic environment.  (“5Gs” entry 2/9/21)

LLoyd Burrell “the emf guy” is online now after his own debilitating experience with electronics.

Nick Pineault, online teacher and author of the book,  The Non-Tinfoil Guide to Emfs (2019).

Dave Stetzer, was an electrician, featured in a DAMS (entries 8/20/20 & 1/23/21) newsletter, who has invented technology to stick in wall outlets to protect from harmful stray electricity. It appears to me to be something that could be used if you’re renting an apartment, where you don’t have control over the whole building.  Products sold online.

If Dominion Electric hasn’t yet put a Smart Meter on your building, you can call 1 866 566 6436 to get your opt out form through snail mail.  This is the procedure, not talking to their employee at your meter.

There are also those with PhDs and or MDs giving pointers about protecting against emfs too.  (Pictures of blood cells I’ve seen after exposure to emfs are scary to me.)

Goats milk

The soap is full of nutrients.  It feels so…soothing to those who have had chemo therapy and radiation.  But others with skin conditions like rosacea and more can appreciate Tasha’s Own. You can buy it at the Farmers Markets and around town.  It’s from a local farm you can visit in Toano.  They now offer a soap making class.  There’s also some time for children’s camp to learn some older ways of farming at a modern working farm.
