Earth Day 2020

For the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Wednesday April 22, it will need to be virtual. ECOWATCH online will show the famous picture of our planet from space (1970) for 24 hours on the 22nd. They have suggestions for at-home activities: doing a plastic audit at home, working with arts and crafts ( which I see kids doing outside), try out a new recipe, begin using one of the books I’ve mentioned throughout my blog to make some lifestyle change(s).

This year’s theme is “climate change”. As near as Charles City County some 7,000 residents are organizing to oppose the plan for a natural gas plant on a site of more than 200 acres. They plan to do fracking, releasing many horrible chemicals into the air and water. They plan to use some of James City County’s water.

I will miss participating in personal interactions at some Earth Day event.

Update 1/1/20 about Charles City County: Residents fussed enough to stop the fracking plan.

Energy healing

Faraway some read an article in the newspaper in the N Y Daily News of July 18, 2014 about energy healing. You can easily read it online now.

It requires some focus and quiet time and getting in touch with yourself to take a class in some form energy healing. This culture, however, seems to favor more, faster, and with lots of talking. For those of us who take the time, or maybe try something else since we aren’t able to move that well or have some other symptom we’ve been told to “live with”, we’ve discovered something Quite Nice.

During this slower, quieter time, hopefully more people will begin to look at the energy healing modalities, as listed in the Encyclopedia of Energy Medicine. Those of us whose consciousness is already there are doing and receiving the energy. It’s already been possible with social distancing and we’re now fiddling around with the technology like zoom/Skype to talk about experiences boosting the immune system. But understand we are not doing instead of the other precaution directions of the CDC and our local medical folks.

Living with a Green Heart “ is a great primer book for buying healthier products, like NVOC (non-volatile organic) paints for the house, a shower head with a filter to protect against chlorine, or a healthier service, like a mercury-free dentist.

Healing with intention

Dr Emoto wrote a NY TIMES bestseller, The Hidden Messages in Water. He used Magnetic Resonance Imaging and a high-powered microscope to show pictures of water molecules before and after directing a person’s heart energy with intention and focus to make noticeable changes. Some of his pictures are online. This is not trick photography.

Our body’s content is mostly water. We can all easily change our water for ourselves and others this way to promote our health. Now we can drink this water in addition to taking all the other precautions against COVID-19.

Sweet Deception

Sweet Deception is actually the name of a book exposing part of our Big Food industry.  It’s not our fault that we have been fooled by food corporations.

David and I have listened to Dr Tom Giammatteo (co-founder of Integrative Manual Therapy program) educate about sugar and sugar substitutes.  He had a book with him that was  8 1/2 by 11 and over an inch thick! with research against artificial sugar substitutes.  Our Food and Drug administration is clearly not overseeing this lucrative industry to safeguard our health.  So here it is again – a reason the U S functioning health is ranked #35 or #37 by the World Health Organization (WHO).

One of the folks who attended the Weston A Price (see previous “WAPF” entries) potluck in February 2020 said her Pastor at church actually preached against HFCS (high fructose corn syrup).  He said it was evil.  Afterwards she took a stroll down a long aisle at her local supermarket filled with cereals.  What did she discover?  There was almost nothing for her to choose without it.

High fructose corn syrup came into the food supply in 1968.  It was formulated to increase profits.   It’s now pervasive in the food supply that is supposed to be nourishing our children.

Eating through the COVID-19 virus time we’ll all be better off steering clear of high sugar/sugar substitutes to get through this time.
