Nowadays some of these symptoms are so-o annoying. Tinnitus, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, visual disturbances – those are some. Not life threatening, but impairing ability to perform some tasks, maybe downright painful, and then maddening since immediate help is not there.
At Innovative Pain Release in New Town these symptoms and more can be lessened and then dissipated. Integrative Manual Therapy (as studied in Connecticut), myofascia release, cranio-sacral work, strain-counterstrain, and biofield therapy do work to heal the body and maybe also for some to heal the mind and spirit. These therapies restore or add to Quality of Life.
Read MoreCommunity gardens
There is now state money and county money to have “community gardens”. There are 2 here now. One is on the Warhill High School complex and the other is in the Grove area.
For a small one-time fee anyone here can purchase a plot for their organic plants. A group, like a Boy Scout group, can decide to have a plot. Volunteers can work in the area, where the produce is delivered to low income groups. High school students can earn school credit by researching and writing about the plants – and also by nourishing, picking, and eating them.
All of this is available behind a locked fence with shared organic compost, water, and some free guidance. The veggies are delicious! My husband commented about the best tomato (anciently viewed as a fruit) he had eaten in a long time🌞.

As the 5Gs will come at all of us, without any health warnings from the communications industry or our government, people who are feeling it are coming forward to warn us about how to avoid or cope with it.
The author of the Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs, Nick Pineault, is a journalist who has attracted a favored rating with Dr Mercola. He was also a speaker at the week-long online Body Electric Summit last fall with Dr D Klinghardt and his group.
This book is not for the engineer to read, nor is it a political expose about the communication industry. Here are some of his major points:
*Keep your cell phone away from your head, breast pocket (heart), and pants pocket (groin).
*Keep a crib monitor out of the crib. Better yet, how about just trash it?
*Don’t put the head of the bed up against a wall with lots of wiring or the circuit breaker on the other side.
*Don’t sit the laptop directly on your lap/ on legs in crosslegged position. (I see this all the time.)
*Don’t charge your cell phone by your head, especially when sleeping.
*Try not to use the phone while in the car; read also: “EMFs in the car”.

The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs is really a great guide
for quality of life in the 21st century! Before you’re too quick to bypass this topic, let me tell you this book is recommended by Dr Mercola. The author , Nick Pineault, educated folks online last fall with Dr Klinghardt and his group as the Body Electric Summit.
5Gs will be coming and effect all of us. Some people are feeling the level of electronics here now. See “Green Bank” 1/14/20.
So how did I ever get interested in this topic? A long time ago a dentist measured electricity in my mouth with a small meter probe. I got a report of the electrical current of each tooth (“oral galvanism “). I had worn a palate made partially of palladium (maybe the best conductor of electricity) in my mouth for some 14 months along with mercury dental fillings. Not wearing the palate reduced some symptoms. After having one of the teeth with a high negative charge (bad news) removed I was able to stand up straight again.
Later after getting a cordless landline phone at home I felt like like my brain was getting wavy and I couldn’t think. Done with that, I returned to having a phone with a cord. Later the cell phone came into use. But I didn’t get one. It felt crazier than the cordless line. Now I have 2 shields ,not 1, on my iPhone to protect me. I use it on speaker, never next to my ear. (to be continued)

Purple carrots! were on my plate with the entree I ordered at a family Christmas lunch. But I had to ask after I had eaten most of it to know that. I thought maybe it was a turnip covered over with the zingy sauce or maybe some new Asian vegetable. At home I pulled out my Jo Robinson text (see “Wild” 1/28/20) to learn more.
The orange carrots we are used to seeing were modified in Europe hundreds of years ago. They came from the purple carrots of Asia folks ate a 1000 years ago. They were more nutritious than the orange ones. Jo’s advice is, “Don’t think of them as a designer food”. They are a return to our nutritional heritage.
I’m on the look-out for them here in Williamsburg. I haven’t seen them yet.

Actually it’s the food colorings/synthetic dyes in our USA foods and vitamins that is yet another detail eroding our health. Yellow#_ and red #_ are examples of what we can see on labels.
In the 1970s I learned scientists and a Dr Feingold had evidence synthetic food dyes were factors involved in causing kids’ hyperactivity, learning problems, and unruly behavior. In the 1980s Ralph Nader tried to force the FDA to label them as toxins to avoid.
In the 1990s I initiated a plan to give a multivitamin to a small child patient who was only willing to eat bananas. The medical facility dispensed a popular brand name vitamin with various numbered colors listed.
This patient was already brain-injured and displaying hyperactive behavior! The results: he jumped higher, ran faster, and began to climb up on a table to dance without music. He never did speak.
Now there’s damning evidence against these dyes –
growth of tumors, in addition to symptoms listed above. While other countries, like the European Union have banned food dyes, the US load is increasing. This old brand name kids vitamin is in my neighborhood now being sold to unsuspecting caregivers.
Dr Mercola’s website has the science. The Center for Science in the Public Interest has opportunity for online activism to ban these substances as they have done in Europe.
What reminds me about all this? My hairdresser. My new stylist, Becca, displays a sign saying she cuts hair for children’s wigs – for kids who have lost their hair after chemo & radiation. Hmm😐
Wild
Eating on the Wild Side is a fun book! It combines interesting details like: Jefferson was among the first to bring tomatoes to our colonies; why the nutritional value of our plants have changed; and how we can now choose the most nutritious food. Who knew the smaller tomatoes have more vitamin C? Or that the deepest red ones have the most lycopene ( very nutritious)?
A few recipes are included in this fun text!
