Plastics

I’ve heard there’s a restaurant here that makes very delicious she-crab soup.  But as you can see from the picture at greenpeace.org/fighting plastic pollution the fate of the crab and other sea creatures is not looking good.  

Years ago when I had the occasions to go crabbing in Virginia’s back bay, we never saw anything like the crab in this picture.  Too bad, since this source of nutrition has a very low level of mercury.😕  (See “Chesapeake” 7/28/20).

According to Greenpeace (environmentalists) more than 13 million tons of plastic are now entering the oceans worldwide.
