Hazardous

Ever been to a hazardous recycling day? I recently brought an old iPad3 I used infrequently to Computer Concepts on Main Street. It swelled up to show what looked like 2 black bean bags inside. Fortunately for me (Apple personnel said) it did not leak any liquid before I found it. I double-bagged it and put it in a box until I handed it over. No cost here.

This iPad wasn’t plugged up, nor near another appliance. What happened to this device is not so usual. I surely don’t want this to happen to the iPad Air I’m using to write this. It sat in plain site, but it could and did get some sunlight from a large glass door. Live and learn…

The next device I’ll be looking at is a friend’s laptop stored in a box…
