Old buildings are being renovated all around town, including houses in my neighborhood. Before 1978 paint had lead, a detail I learned near the cash register at the Tractor Supply. Mercury was banned from paints in 1989. It is colorless, odorless, and tasteless and it was or may still be in those old medicine cabinets as thermometers. Community gardens
Community gardens near Warhill High School are giving high school students credit for working
there this summer. There is college credit for some working at Navdanya farm owned by Dr Shiva in the state of Uttarakhand, India of the previous blog entry. Uttarakhand is a state where it isn’t allowed.
